University Quality Committee (JKPQ) is a committee responsible for discussing the quality achievements that each PTJ has made, and to identify the problems and weaknesses that may be present in quality management at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan. JKPQ is also responsible for ensuring that all PTJs comply with quality standards and implement the necessary actions to improve quality performance. The members of this committee consist of deans and heads of department (PTJs) who have the responsibility to ensure the best quality performance in the university.

JKPQ is the first platform for quality performance monitoring process before Management Review Meeting (MKSP). JKPQ meetings are held 2 times before MKSP to discuss the quality achievements performed by each PTJ. Meanwhile, quality achievement status is reported on a quarterly basis (4 quarters) to ensure that quality performance is monitored and controlled effectively to meet the needs and satisfaction of customers and stakeholders.

Previously, the committee was known as the “Jawatankuasa Kualiti Jabatan” (JQJ) and the membership was the quality coordinators from each PTJs. The change of name to the University Quality Committee (JKPQ) is to avoid confusion about the quality monitoring stage.
